Plagg is a creature called kwami and he has been in this world since the beginning of the world. Plagg is the kwami of Destruction and he is connected to a Black ring of Cat Noir's Ring Miraculous. Plagg is able to grand super powers to his miraculous holder. Using this super power, Plagg's miraculous holder can transform into a Cat-themed superhero called the Cat Noir. Plagg and his Miraculous are currently active and used by Adrien Agreste to transform into Cat Noir.


Plagg is a small floating cat-like magical creature(kwami) with a cat like face, big eyes, and a black body. At his best, Plagg is cool, calm, collected, focused, encouraging, carefree and easygoing but Plagg....at his worst, Plagg is negligent, overindulgent, lazy, and sour. Plagg isn't very helpful and he doesn't take situations seriously as he should. Sometimes Plagg became out of control, arrogant, reckless and rebellious without the guidance of an owner. He calls himself brave and a free-spirit.  According to Thomas Astruc, the creator of Miraculous : Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir show, Plagg name was came from Plague and in some culture Plagg(Black Cat) means "bad luck" but here Plagg means or the meaning of Plagg is "Dectruction or destructive form of a devastated beast or a disastrous evil or affliction" and he is more than 13 billion years old who watched over every Cat Noir since the beginning of the universe. Plagg is a lazy and careless Kwami, who always presents himself as a brave and a free-spirit but in reality he is irresponsible with his powers. 


Plagg is able to fly, pass through solid objects like locker door and wall and he can speak any and all languages in the world. Plagg can use his powers with othis kwamis like Mullo, Sass, Nooroo and Dusu, Unknown form(Tikki and Plagg) to create a hybrid form of Cat Noir with different powers like Dragon Bug, MultiNoir , SnakeNoir, ShadowNoir and Unknown name. Plagg grand powers of destruction(bad luck) to his miraculous holder and transforms his miraculous holder into a Cat-themed superhero. But when he is transformed, Plagg is unable to communicate with his miraculous holder but Plagg usually knows what is going on.

Plagg's Power Ups : 

  • The green-blue potion transforms Plagg into "Aqua Plagg", which grants his holder extra powers and the ability to breath underwater and improve their swimming capability with flippers added on the feet. In this mode or power, the miraculous holder's suit gains fish-like features such as flippers, fins, and a scale-like pattern on the suit itself.
  • The light blue potion transforms Plagg into "Stalac Plagg", which grants his holder ice-related abilities, and the suit gains a pair of skates to move freely on ice. In this form, the round spots on the suit and the yo-yo change into hexagons.
  • The purple potion transforms Plagg into an unknown space form and grants his holder the ability to move freely and breathe in high altitudes and space. In this mode or power, the holder's suit gains spacesuit-like plating, a jetpack with retractable wings, and a helmet that provides breathable air.
